I have been reading up on foley acting for months after my audio engineering graduation and it is a dream. After reinacting the pirates of the carribean scene when he is walking down the peir after his ship sinks (to perfection) I have been fascinated by foley.

i am only 12 years old but i have been researching this job (strangely enough) not for school, and i really would like to become a foley artist. I have visited universal studies and it looks facinating with the amount of importance it has to a movie! is their anyway i can talk to someone that also does this for a living or knows something about this career? thanx!

What a fascinating job! There’s nothing more inspiring than a backstage artist with true passion for her work. This reminds me of Imogen Heap hitting cardboard tubes with empty CD cases in one of her songs, but Monique beats Immi hands-down in the Creative Effects department.
